What is ESUSUH MUTUAL?
The first mutuality of its kind created to give Cameroonians financial assistance in the event of death or bereavement, providing families with peace of mind. Full operations begin 8th June 2026.
When do registrations open and close?
Registrations open 8th June 2026 and close 31st August 2026.
Is this life insurance?
No. ESUSUH MUTUAL is not life insurance and has no monthly payments. It is a one-time payment made annually, renewing on your registration anniversary month.
What are the membership levels and fees?
Level 1: 35,000 FRS CFA registration fee for a 500,000 FRS CFA benefit. Level 2: 60,000 FRS CFA registration fee for a 1,000,000 FRS CFA benefit.
How long before I'm eligible for assistance?
Each registered member has a mandatory 5-month waiting period from their date of registration before becoming eligible for any financial assistance.
Who can register?
Anyone living in Cameroon can register directly. Those living outside Cameroon cannot register directly, but can become Sponsors and Beneficiaries by paying for the registration of a loved one living in Cameroon.
I live abroad — how do I register a loved one?
$50 registers someone for Level 1 (500,000 CFA benefit). $100 registers someone for Level 2 (1,000,000 CFA benefit). You become their Sponsor and Beneficiary.
Who receives the benefit when a member dies?
Only registered members' designated beneficiaries receive the financial assistance. To secure a benefit for yourself, register yourself. To give a loved one that benefit, register them.
What is a "refill"?
When a member dies and a payout is made, all other members are required to make a refill contribution to the ESUSUH MUTUAL fund. The refill amount is announced as deaths occur, based on the number of registered members.
How do I pay, and where does my money go?
All membership payments are made only through the Mutuality's account at Ecobank, anywhere in Cameroon — account number 30245041030. A copy of your payment receipt must be sent to the Financial Secretary at 671200748.
Is there a Treasurer I can pay directly?
No. ESUSUH MUTUAL does not have a Treasurer role. All payments must go only through the official Ecobank account above. Do not send money to any individual claiming to collect payments on the Mutuality's behalf.
When is the payout made?
Payment to beneficiaries is made immediately after verification of death.
